What type of cutting oil should I use for steel drilling?
I have a number of drilling holes in the material 1 / 4 "& 1 / 2". What is the best coolant to use for this text? And is it better to drill a hole half an inch, or use a smaller bit and work my way up to a half inch? Thank you for any suggestions. George.
I worked with George Steel 30 years and im going to tell you something that I found long ago I use liquid soap to wash dishes in a green bottle is cheap and works just as well. Most important is the speed at which your wick is looking at the point of your drill bit as it cuts steel and adjust the system so you do not spiral cuttings stands.
